Links

Here is where I am going to give you a little bit of everything. From a little bit of fun to a little bit of politics. If you find a link that is broken, let me know and I'll try to fix it. And now, on to the links.

Recordings and Sound

When I was a kid, I collected antique phonographs. Even today, the old recordings continue to fascinate me. There are a couple of links that you should check out for old recordings. Think of them as the aural equivalent of photos.

www.tinfoil.com/

A truly wonderful site, full of sound files, pictures, what have you. Obviously the result of much work. Thanks, Mr. Sage

memory.loc.gov/ammem/edhtml/edsndhm.html

You don't get much more official than this-the Library of Congress. A fascinating place to explore.

www.napster.com

Yep, the infamous Napster. If you haven't tried it, you don't know what you are talking about, and you don't know what you are missing. For Macintosh and Windows

www.zeropaid.com

An edgy music news, client download, forum, O.K. place. Not for the thin-skinned.

www.live365.com

At last count you could access some 19,000 radio stations around the world at this site. What? Not enough for you.? Well, you can also broadcast from here.

www.musicmatch.com/

You are going to need something to play all that music on. For my money, this free player is simply the best. For Macintosh and Windows.

Some Neat Applications

Design Workshop Lite

A really neat 3d modelling program from a neat company. This is a freebie for Macintosh and Windows. Great newsletter on Architecture.

Pictacular

Looking for a great little freebie slide show for your photos? 52 Fades and Effects keep your eyes happy. Very easy to use. Simply drop a folder full of photos on the app, double click, and you're off. For Macintosh.

PhotoPage

Very nice page editor that makes thumbnails, sets up photo links. Very easy to use. What I used for the photo pages on this site. For Macintosh. Thanks, Mr. Vink.

Monkey Shines

Tired of violence and gore? Well, I'm not either, but this is a wonderful game for adults and kids. Non-violent, platform type, many levels. Inexpensive shareware. Kids love this game. Mostly for Macintosh but a bit at their site for Windows also.

Fatherhood Rights

When my partner of thirty years and I ended our marriage, I was fortunate for a couple of reasons. First, because most of the kids were grown, and second, because my spouse and I decided to act like adults in the matter of custody of our youngest child, then 14.

Since then, I have seen other fathers not nearly so lucky as myself. Fathers who have spent their life savings and indebted themselves beyond reason to try and maintain a relationship with their children. Mothers are awarded custody in more than 85% of all cases.

This set of links is dedicated to someone whose ego and overwhelming self-righteousness compelled her to spend a fortune, wreck lives and make her own grandchild an orphan.
