What or who is tommyk321?

 

 

Well, it's me, Tom Knight,that's who. A few years ago when I first started using the web, I signed up for some free service or another wanting to have the username "tommyk". The service said that the name was already in use, and suggested, among other names, "tommyk321." I liked it, and thought also the simpler name might be taken elsewhere, so now it's used all over the web as my username.

Hobbies

I love to read and listen to music. I have an extensive collection of music that has been digitized into MP3 format, both from CDs and from downloading. (By the way. If you haven't checked into Napster, do so. It is much more than folks stealing, as has been asserted by the record companies.) I have a ball with my computer. Right now I am scanning and digitizing all of the old family photos, retouching them and doing some just plain silliness switching bodies and heads.

Kids and Grandkids

I have lots of them. People used to say, "Five kids? You've either got to be Catholic or crazy." To which the reply would be, "Well, my wife's Catholic and I'm crazy."

Adrenochrome

Named for a mysterious substance mentioned in the raucous novel by Hunter S. Thompson, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, this is one hard working band. Why are they on my otherwise sedate website? Because two of the members are sons of mine, Isaac and Donnie. They are working on their first CD. Maybe someday soon, I'll have an MP3 here that you can steal, uh, fileshare.

They most recently assaulted my rapidly diminishing hearing at a gig at Gabe's Oasis, Iowa's premier showplace for cutting-edge rock and roll.
